The area around Asse and Dilbeek is the oldest hop-growing region in Flanders. And even though hop vines have become scarce, you can still find remnants that serve as a reminder of that once-thriving hop cultivation. Such as the hop field along Ternatstraat near Huisje Mostinckx, a museum dedicated to life in days gone by and hop culture. You’ll also pass the artistic hop field in Asse and numerous breweries such as Timmermans, Girardin, Mort Subite, Eylenbosch, and Angerik.
