Cycle out of Vilvoorde along very accessible bike paths and follow the bike highway to the banks of the Zenne in Zemst. Stop for a moment at the Sport Vlaanderen complex in Hofstade, a sports and recreation area with a sandy beach, right in the middle of a nature reserve. As you near the end of the loop, you’ll pass by the Floordambos. This ancient forest, with its limestone-rich soil, bubbling springs, and drier areas, serves as a habitat for many plant species and amphibians.
