Cycle through the heart of the endive-growing region, through villages where, back in the day, endives were grown on virtually every street. Such as Erps-Kwerps, Kampenhout, Berg, and Perk. Farmers here still grow chicory using traditional open-field methods, and during the right season, you can buy a crate straight from the farmer. Discover the history of chicory at the De Krop Culture and Experience Center and have a great time at the Sport Vlaanderen recreation area in Hofstade.
