To the valley of the artists
The Wijnbronbeek walk shows you the most beautiful, green side of Linkebeek. It takes you through the Schaveyspark and the Kleetbos, and all the way through the Wijnbrondal, a nature reserve with steep walls, a hollow road and the castle of Linkebeek. Around 1900, this was a popular hiking trail for painters and writers, hence the nickname artists' valley. In the center is the classicist St. Sebastian Church (1773-1778), where an unusual 13th-century Celtic-Roman baptismal font catches the eye.
