With the Barebeek River as your guide, you’ll explore Hofstade along paths that are sometimes unpaved, with the occasional stately tree-lined avenue. These paths take you near the Sport Vlaanderen estate, the oldest and most versatile center of the Flemish government, surrounded by a 172-hectare nature reserve. You’ll walk a short stretch along the Leuven-Dijle Canal, catch a glimpse of the austere, classicist Ambroos Castle, and find peace in the grasslands of the Prinsenveld nature reserve.
