Open fields, fruit orchards, groves, and hedgerows, the listed village landscape of Orsmaal, and the Kleine Gete as your guide. This walk takes you to a very rural part of Linter. The history of Het Hof Ten Steen in the heart of Orsmaal dates back to the 13th century, when it was still a fortified castle. In the 18th century, the peace treaty between Austria and the rebellious “Belgian States” was signed here.
Before you set out: The bridge over the Kleine Gete is unstable and will remain closed until March 1, 2026. Follow the detour via 3de Regt Lansiersstraat and Sint-Truidensesteenweg between hiking junctions 115 and 141.
