What began in the mid-1980s as the passion of dendrologist Philippe de Spoelberch grew into an internationally renowned collection of some 2,300 species and varieties. The Arboretum of Wespelaar is 20 hectares in size. You walk among impressive maples, magnolias and rhododendrons. Especially in October, the arboretum is at its most beautiful, when the park lights up in a rich palette of autumn colors. Not for nothing does The Huffington Post count it among the most beautiful arboretums in the world.
