The Belevingscentrum '14-'18 in the Engelenburcht in Tildonk takes you back to daily life during the First World War. In the former Ursuline Convent you will listen to personal stories, read diaries and follow troop movements. Contemporary escape stories are also given a place. In the cloister garden you will discover the open-air exhibition 'Through the lens of the occupier', with photographs taken by the German occupiers themselves. Follow the guided tour 'The secrets of the Ursuline boarding school unveiled' and listen to the punishing stories of Sister Bénédicte and Mademoiselle Florentine.
