In the cultural and recreational center De Krop you will dive into the story of chicory, the white gold of the region. You will learn how the crop was grown and how chicory helped shape life, work and community life in the region. Growers, chooks and buyers tell their story, from the field to the auction. You walk past seasons, techniques and traditions, from the chicory pot to the research lab. De Krop also houses a cozy theater and the Brabant Center for Musical Traditions, where you can discover the musical heritage of the region.
