Beersel Castle is one of the best preserved medieval moated castles in Belgium. Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, it has three round towers, a deep moat and a drawbridge. Its thick brick walls, loopholes and battlements show you how this castle served to defend the Duchy of Brabant from neighboring counties.
