The Gaasbeek Museum Garden was laid out with knowledge and passion by Nature and Forest, following the example of castle gardens from the 18th and 19th centuries. You walk past old and rare fruit trees, 'forgotten' vegetables and ornamental plants, with the unique collection of slate fruit as an eye-catcher. Information boards tell the story of historic cultivation and storage techniques, from bee hives to an old-style fruit storage shed. Along the way, you'll enjoy sweeping views of Gaasbeek Castle and the Pajottenland. Need a break? You can do so in peace and quiet in the walled French garden.

A visit to the museum garden takes one hour on average.
From May through September there are free guided tours on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 2 p.m. and at 4 p.m. In October there is a free guided tour on Saturdays and on Sundays at 2 p.m. each time. There is no need to register in advance, but you should arrive on time and purchase a regular Museum Garden admission ticket.
Groups must book in advance. A maximum of 15 people can participate per guide. So for more than 15 people book multiple guides.
