Our Lady of Good Hope Church is a place of silence and history in the heart of Vilvoorde. A Romanesque village church stood here as early as the 10th century; the present Gothic church arose from the 14th century and took its form mainly in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is a fine example of Brabant Gothic architecture, with high vaults and large windows illuminating the church interior. Inside, the stained glass windows, paintings and old tombstones stand out, but the absolute eye-catcher is the richly decorated baroque choir stalls from 1663, from the Groenendaal Priory.
