At Botanical Garden Meise, you can walk around the world in one visit. This 92-hectare botanical paradise is one of the largest botanical gardens in the world and houses some 18,000 species. You'll explore gardens with medicinal plants, a rose garden and the impressive Plant Palace with eleven greenhouses, including the iconic Victoria greenhouse. At the heart of the estate is the 19th-century castle of Bouchout, with its playful Island Garden in the castle pond. The Botanical Garden is older than Belgium and surprises in every season.

In the HOUTlab you can learn about all aspects of wood in a contemporary and interactive way. Access to HOUTlab is included in the entrance ticket to the Botanical Garden. Allow at least an hour for your visit.
In the pavilion of the Green Ark, visitors get a view of the greenhouses with endangered plants. You will also see gardeners at work.
