Spring blooms color the forest floor just before the beeches close their canopy, then the Troostembergbos is at its most beautiful. In this 54-hectare hiking forest you walk among beeches, sweet chestnuts and birches with clearings and sloping paths on the flanks of the Bensberg. You'll find picnic tables, a shelter hut and a playground, and dogs can romp freely in the off-leash area. Together with the neighboring Walenbos, the Troostembergbos forms a green duo in Tielt-Winge.
