On the edge of the Heverlee forest and the Meerdaal forest are the five ponds of the Zoet Water. Ever since the 17th century, it has been a delightful place for a Sunday stroll, because it was then that the Duke of Arenberg ordered the construction of fish ponds in the marshland of his domain in Vaalbeek. Stroll along the banks, drink the fresh water of the Minnebron and visit the baroque Our Lady Chapel of Steenbergen. Children will have plenty of fun at the municipal recreation park Zoet Water.

The recreation park also has a skate park, including some quarter pipes. Helmet required.
Bike and skate athletes can have a blast on the 145m long pumptrack circuit. Helmet required.
