Toer de Geuze
Toer de Geuze is the ultimate celebration of lambic. Every two years, breweries and geuze houses in Lambiekland open their doors to tens of thousands of enthusiasts and curious visitors. You step into a world of spontaneous fermentation, wooden foeders and centuries-old tradition. Of course, this includes tastings, ranging from young lambic to traditional Oude Geuze and Oude Kriek.
As well as guided tours and tastings, the producers organise a whole host of additional activities. In this way, they turn Toer de Geuze into a genuine two-day festival for lovers of heritage, gastronomy and local culture. Specially chartered buses will take you safely from brewery to bottling house. But you’re also welcome to come by bike, on foot or by any other means of transport.
Megablend
A particular highlight every year is the HORAL Oude Geuze Megablend. For this occasion, the members of the High Council for Artisanal Lambic Beers join forces. Each brewer and blender supplies lambic – both young and old – which are blended together to create a unique, complex Oude Geuze. A collector’s item in your glass, specially created for Toer de Geuze.
