- Mia Michiels grew up in Hoeilaart, in the heart of the historic grape region of Flemish Brabant. Grape growing has been in her family for generations.
- Shortly after World War I, her grandparents started grape farms, in which they remained active until 1963. After that, Mia's parents took over the family business.
- In 1983, Mia herself continued the family tradition. Together with her husband Oswald, the greenhouses were renewed step by step, while maintaining traditional growing methods.
- Today, son Peter continues the tradition with a fresh perspective: in addition to the iconic greenhouses, he experiments with open-air cultivation and even makes his own wine.
- The grapes are still grown artisanally, ecologically and by hand in the typical glass greenhouses so characteristic of the region.
- Through natural ripening and direct sales to consumers, the ecological footprint remains small and you taste grapes as they were meant to be: pure, local and full of flavor.
