Location and accessibility
Lambic Tours is the brainchild of Patrick Van der Spiegel, a purebred native of Lambic Country. Since childhood, he has been sharing his love for the region and its special beers with visitors from all over the world, from New Zealand to the United States. Out of those many encounters grew the idea of giving others a taste of what makes the region so unique.
Patrick organizes beer tours for beer lovers and beer geeks, but also for companies that want to experience an original team building. The formula is simple: a pleasant day full of stories, anecdotes and facts about lambic and Oude Geuze, interspersed with tastings, food pairing moments and short stops at places of interest such as Beersel Castle, Coloma or Gaasbeek Castle.
The tours usually start at Halle station, although sometimes one starts in Brussels, at Brasserie Cantillon. From there, Lambic Tours passes authentic pubs, breweries and samplers, where the history of spontaneous fermentation comes to life. Everything is done in consultation with the customer: the tour can be with a small group by car, with a larger group by bus, or sporty on e-bike along rural roads. Each tour is literally brewed to order.
