At Wijndomein ten Gaerde in Houwaart, father André and son Danny draw on a long winemaking tradition. André was one of the pioneers of the revival of viticulture in the Hageland and planted his first vines of müller thurgau and optima as early as 1970. In 2010, father and son started a vineyard for their own use. They work without soil herbicides and resolutely opt for mowing and hoeing. Danny does all the work himself, from maintenance in the vineyard to vinification in the cellar.
