The Demer paints in a flowing line the municipal border of Begijnendijk, through woods and meadows. From the corten steel bridge in Betekom you have a beautiful view of the Demer valley. At night, the lights on the bridge create an almost magical atmosphere, ideal for a quiet evening stroll along the bank.
