Hof ten Hemelrijk is the beating heart of Opwijk: a Brabant farmstead with a walking park, playground, amphitheater, tourist information point and brasserie. In agricultural museum De Vedderboom you can discover how parents and grandparents lived, among old tools and utensils. Hop growing is still very much alive here. In the municipal hop field, you can pick your own hops during the Hop Festival in September. The Art Trail, a 16-kilometer bike ride, takes you past works by local artists and poets. And it's great hiking in the Kravaal forest, where you also have an old cherry orchard.
