Story
Actually Bart Devillé wanted to go to France to make wine. But it became beer. Instead of taking a wine-making course, he opted for an education in beer brewing. The old pub in Buizingen that he and his wife Ann Heremans bought as a warehouse for their construction company, he single-handedly converted into Brewery Den Herberg. Along with a cozy inn.
There, son Akke and daughter Charlien tap the house beers: Herberg Blond, Wheat, Triple, Brown and Cuvée Devillé. And out of love for the region, lambic and gueuze cannot be missed, of course. The lambic matures in oak barrels, both in the brewery in Buizingen and on the farm in Lembeek. Bart does not do this alone: his son Akke learned the trade from his father and is a great help.
Tasting? Just do it on the spot, in the warm, characterful inn where the beer always flows fresh from the tap.

Visit and tour
You are welcome to visit the brewery every day, by appointment only. Afterwards you sit down at the inn and choose which beer you want to taste. It doesn't get any fresher!

Café Den Herberg
In the warm and characterful café, for young and old, you can taste the various self-brewed beers, as well as a wide choice of other beers, old gueuze, old cherries, cocktails and so on.
